Hotel Boutique Beatas

Calle Beatas, Málaga

Project details

Rehabilitation of a historic building in central Málaga as a boutique hotel, with a ground-floor reception lounge and communal roof terrace.

Developed with Félix Álvarez de Toledo and Crisanto Barcia through [Y]* Arquitectura. The building between Calle Beatas and Calle Pito retains its historic façades and tiled roofs.

Single and double rooms occupy the upper floors, with a ground-floor reception lounge and shared roof terrace, planted courtyard and supporting kitchenette. An internal courtyard and vertical circulation core bring light and cross-ventilation to rooms and common spaces.

Exposed timber floors, shutters and patterned flooring are respected alongside contemporary green, terracotta and ochre finishes: an exercise in urban reuse within Málaga’s historic centre.
