Project details
An exhibition-pavilion proposal beside the coastal pine forest, with a lightweight roof over a public plaza and the El Eucaliptal archaeological site.
Developed with Alberto Menéndez, FEMPU is conceived as a large lightweight roof spanning a public square between the coastal pine forest, avenue and archaeological site.
Three levels accommodate a partially buried garage with 174 spaces and accessible archaeological area; a ground floor with a covered foyer, flexible hall of 1,676 m², expandable to 3,110 m², stage, retractable seating and café; and an upper level with conference rooms, press and administrative areas, VIP room and 528 fixed seats.
The hall supports fairs, exhibitions, music, sports and dining events, with configurations for 1,166 seated event attendees, 888 sports spectators or 1,600 diners. Concrete and steel, glass, stainless-steel mesh and a lightweight spatial roof establish a contemporary relationship with the coastal landscape.
