House in Caños de Meca
Cádiz
Project details
A Mediterranean single-family house with continuous lime mortar, protected openings and a south-facing pool.
Developed with Julio Pérez Revilla in Cádiz, the detached-house design uses clear flat-roofed volumes, continuous white finishes and ceramic screens filtering light onto upper terraces.
Hand-applied lime mortar covers interior and exterior surfaces: a breathable, low-impact material that regulates moisture and brings a warm, tactile quality to daylight.
Shared living, kitchen and dining spaces connect to a south-facing porch, pool and garden. Upstairs bedrooms look towards the landscape, with openings sized for orientation, solar control and cross-ventilation.
