500 Social Homes in Esung
Bata, Equatorial Guinea
Project details
A proposal for 500 social homes beside Esung, organised around the river and a continuous network of open spaces.
Commissioned by the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, the plan recognises the river and existing valley as the neighbourhood’s backbone: a planted open-space system that provides structure, cooling and drainage.
Two-, three- and four-bedroom houses form elongated blocks adapted to the terrain, alongside a market, health centre, school, event space, religious facilities, police, pool, sports and local commerce.
